Larnaca's Municipal Museum of Natural History is located within the grounds of the Municipal Gardens and the municipal garden park. The visitor of the museum can see a number collections, such as marine life displays with internationals and local sells, sponges, corals and sea creatures, collections of local reptiles, birds, animals, and an impressive collection of rare insects. Another notable collection is that of the island’s endemic plants, whilst in the yard, you can see the friendly donkey, as was an indispensable tool for many years in Cyprus and faithfully served the Cypriots.

The museum is a small charming single storey building and is set in the green landscape of the Municipality Gardens. While visiting the Museum, one can also visit the municipal Library which is also located there. The greenery and the playgrounds make it an amusing attraction for the children as well.
