Larnaca will be hosting two International Sporting events this coming month. The Shooting Cyprus Grand Prix 2013 ( Trap - Skeet – Double Trap) is organised from February 25th to March the 3rd, 2013. Organisers, the Cyprus Shooting Federation and Larnaca Shooting Club are supported by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and its promotional program for Sport Tourism. The event will be held in the new Larnaca Olympic Shooting Range and is expected to attract 350 foreign athletes from 25 countries.
The Cyprus Women Cup, an International Football Tournament will take place for the 6th time in a row in Cyprus between the 4th and 14th of March 2013.Twelve Women National Teams from various countries will be training in Larnaca at local sports facilities.Approximately 450 persons are expected to stay in Larnaca and the nearby Famagusta hotels.
The events are important for Larnaca and it's promotion as a Sports Destination. The local and Tourism authorities, are joining efforts, so Larnaca is a showcase during these events.The city hopes to attract more Sport events and tournaments for the less busy winter months.
